I met many of the current senior members of the Valcourt Group back in 1989-1990, when the International Window Cleaner’s Association (IWCA) came into existence. Over the last thirty-plus years, we got to know each other on a deeper level- everything, including one another’s work ethics, values, families, hobbies, and long-term goals. It was only natural that we partner together and try to create something bigger than us individually.
During due diligence, I was clearly informed of what was going to take place, the timing, and the expectations for my roles and responsibilities. It was pretty much what I expected- no big surprises-which is a wonderful gift in the business world after I had been independent for so long. Once we closed, we were considered part of the family, and corporate efforts were focused on “How can we help?” We (HSG) immediately experienced a huge reduction in our Worker’s Compensation premiums and other corporate volume savings. Having an informed, proactive sounding board that I trust and have complete respect for is a wonderful experience for me.
